Halloween Talk: Dublin, drugs, awards and more

We’re back on the airwaves and joined by esteemed journalist Cathal Dennehy who has contributed to numerous publications including The Sunday Tribune, The Sunday Independent, Running Times, the IAAF and the Irish Runner where he is the current resident feature writer.

In the latest podcast we discuss a variety of topics including: should the Dublin Marathon be a domestic or international race; the latest drug scandals in Jamaica and Kenya; the Athletics Ireland awards where we give our picks for each category; our view on the latest European Cross Country build up.

We had plenty to talk about since our layoff since Moscow and we hope you enjoy our latest musings. Also attached are links to Cathal’s media race and interview on Flotrack in Moscow at the World Track and Field Championships.

Con Houlihan once told me that tomorrow is now. In taking on this venture I’ve started to try and put his words into action.

I worked for Con from 2007 till his passing in 2012 taking down his copy and a whole lot more. I have a Con Houlihan section which will go in to more depth on that.

I’m a long-time contributor to the Irish Runner magazine and am also working for the Irish Examiner.
