Bronze Rob, ‘High’ Jumper, Jeptoo ‘B’ Result; Your JTG 5-A-Day
1. Barcelona bronze at last for Rob
Rob Heffernan recieved his belated bronze at a medal ceremony in Cork city. Rob finally got his reward for his exceptional performance in the 2010 European Championships in Barcelona, after the initial winner was retrospectively disqualified for a doping violation.
2. Positive ‘B’ for Jeptoo
Kenyan marathoner Rita Jeptoo’s ‘B’ sample has tested postive for EPO, as did her ‘A’ sample back in September. She had been due to collect $500,000 as winner of the World Marathon Major series prior to the story being broken on RunBlogRun.

Aries Merritt, 110m hurdles world record holder, has put his injury plagued seasons of 2013 and 2014 behind him. He’s hoping for a big year in 2015 en route to repeat Olympic glory in 2016

4. McPherson proves she’s a ‘high’ jumper
Colourful U.S. high jumper Inika McPherson has accepted a 21 month ban after testing positive for cocaine use. She failed a drug test after the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in June.
