3. Indoor Season Up And Running

AIT hosted their annual Baseline meet on Wednesday night with an event for athletes to test their winter training progress. A chance for athletes to compete over usual training distances in a competitive environment, it drew some big names and impressive results.

4. Ed Cheserek’s 12 mile run

Edward Cheserek ran for 12 miles just to get to school on time. Weather conditions stopped Ed getting to school by car so he ran instead.

5. Farah and Steel lead Team GB

Mo Farah and Gemma Steel to lead Team GB at the Great Edinburgh Cross Country on January 10th, 2015. Ireland will have two representatives on the European team in Fionnuala Britton and Sara Treacy.

Gerard O'Donnell

Gerard O'Donnell

Gerard O'Donnell is an athlete, a coach, and a business management graduate. A former youth international, he represented Ireland in sprint hurdles, 400m hurdles, high jump and relays. He is current senior 60m & former 110m hurdles champion and ranks 3rd & 5th on the Irish all-time list for the events. Years of battling and finally overcoming injuries have led to his keen interest in strength and conditioning for athletes, as well as his current course of study: Neuromuscular Physical Therapy. He is occasionally referred to as GOD, not due to his initials, but because of his heavenly beard, which he has sported since the age of 5.
