Robinson’s Route To The Top

Here’s to you Paul Robinson, an athlete who uprooted himself to the other side of the world in a bid to reach the top tier of international athletics. He talks about making tough decisions and what he’s sacrificed to try and challenge the world’s top milers.

The latest Jumping the Gun podcast looks back on some of the highlights and lowlights of 2013. And we also get Robinson’s roundup including his rear of the year, desert island companion and what happens when an Irishman tries to charm an Australian girl at altitude. This podcast is so good we recorded it twice – listen in to find out why.

Con Houlihan once told me that tomorrow is now. In taking on this venture I’ve started to try and put his words into action.

I worked for Con from 2007 till his passing in 2012 taking down his copy and a whole lot more. I have a Con Houlihan section which will go in to more depth on that.

I’m a long-time contributor to the Irish Runner magazine and am also working for the Irish Examiner.
